Deltetto Roero Arneis 2021
About: The Deletto family has been growing Arneis since 1977, when a young Antonio, inspired by his father Carlo, made his first 933 bottles. Located on San Michele hill, just around the corner from the winery, this vineyard gives, thanks to its soil full of sand and marls, unique characteristics to this wine that has always been a landmark for the region.
The Region – Roero is a small DOCG wine district in the hills of Piedmont, northwest Italy. It is known particularly for its refreshing white wines made from Arneis, but also for its bold, fragrant reds made from Piedmont’s signature red wine grape, Nebbiolo. The area takes its name from the Roero family, powerful bankers who were extremely influential here in the Middle Ages.

Terres Dorees (JP Brun) Le Rose’ d’Folie 2021 Beajolais Rose (Gamay) Org +Bio 2021
Beaujolais legend Jean-Paul Brun releases tiny quantities of his Gamay rose every year. Brun wants to make “old-style” Beaujolais and his vinification differs from the prevailing practices in the region. He believes that the charm of Gamay’s fruit is best expressed by the grapes’ indigenous yeasts, rather than by adding industrial yeast. Virtually all Beaujolais is now made by adding a particular yeast during fermentation. His Beaujolais is made to be pleasurable – light, fruity and delicious – not an artificially inflated wine that shines at tasting competitions.
Taste – “In 2021, it’s super snappy and fresh, almost white-wine in texture, but loaded with crunchy strawberry and cherry fruit and a subtle note of wild berry blossom. A terrific back porch pounder – it’s wonderfully drinkable – that you’ll also love with grilled chicken, pork, even spicy Asian food. A joyful wine.”

2019 Domaine Guy & Yvan Dufouleur Santenay “Clos Genets”, Burgundy, France
About – Domaine Guy & Yvan Dufouleur was established on the slopes of Nuits-Saint-Georges in 1596, and is currently managed by Yvan Dufouleur and his uncle Xavier. The Dufouleur family sold the negociant arm of their business, “Dufouleur Père et Fils,” in 2006, wanting to focus exclusively on estate bottled wines. Four hundred years is a long time for any winery, and through the centuries the family has acquired a whopping 28 hectares of prime vineyard sites
Santenay Appellation – Santenay is the most southerly wine-producing commune of the Côte de Beaune in Burgundy, with its own communal appellation (created in 1937). The wines produced here are predominantly red and made from Pinot Noir, a small quantity of Chardonnay is also produced.
Taste – “Dark purple in color. Its bouquet is reminiscent of rose petals, peony, violet, red fruits on a hint of liquorice. Intense attack on the palate, firm tannins, smooth body and robust. Nice aromas of blueberry on a lingering finish.”

Baracchi O’Lillo 2020
Baracchi Winery is a wine estate in the Cortona region of Tuscany. It is owned by the Baracchi family which has a history of winegrowing dating back to 1860. Today, the estate makes a range of regional Tuscan wines based predominantly on Syrah, including a wide portfolio of Cortona DOC and Toscana IGT wines.
The estate covers 75 hectares (185 acres) of land, with 30 hectares (74 acres) dedicated to the cultivation of vines on south- and southwest-facing slopes. Baracchi’s winery is situated in San Martino and is surrounded by vineyards planted mainly to Syrah and Sangiovese.
More than just winery – On the property is a small full-service Hotel and a Michelin Star Restaurant run by the mother – she’s the chef!
Winemaker Notes
Ruby red colour with violet hints. Fruity nose of cherry and blackcurrant. Pleasant and light notes of black pepper, tobacco and forest floor. Easy to drink, fresh, full body and soft tannins. Fruit driven, yet very complex. Blend: 25% Sangiovese, 25% Syrah, 25% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon
