Yves Cuilleron Rousanne Les Vignes d’a Cote 2016
Most of the vineyards are situated in and around the commune of Chavanay which is just south of the town of Condrieu. This wine is 100% ORGANIC
The Wine Spectator – Rating: 90 Points (10/15/2017)
Lovely, with verbena, chamomile, peach and yellow apple notes streaming through, backed by a flash of salted butter. Pure, showing textbook varietal character. Drink now through 2018.
Kevin’s Notes: One of favorite white wine regions is the Northern Rhone. This region grows the amazing grapes; Rousanne, Marsanne, and Viognier. During the holidays these aromatic, dry white wines are great while cooking and during most meals.

Envínate, Albahra Garnacha Tintorera 2016
Envínate (meaning ‘wine yourself’)!
Kevin’s Notes: This wine is sourced from a single 30 year old vineyard that is divided into 3 parcels at 2400 ft elevation in the Almansa region, around the town of Albacete. The grape is Garnacha Tintorera (or Alicante Bouchet). Last year, we sold over 10 cases of this, but this year we can get only get 5 cases. How much do I like the wines of Enivinate wines? In the past six months, I have bought and sold seven different Envinate wines. I believe their wines are some of the most unique, special, and incredible wines being produced!

Hawk Crest Red Hills Lake County Cabernet 2008
Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars has produced Hawk Crest wines since 1974 with an eye towards crafting approachable, fruit forward wines of high quality and great value. Over the years, the winemaking team has carefully selected vineyards in some of California’s most promising growing areas to source fruit for Hawk Crest Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Chardonnay. This pursuit led us to areas like Red Hills Lake County, an emerging appellation just fifteen miles north of Napa Valley that produces well-structured, food-friendly Cabernet.
Kevin’s Notes: That’s right, it’s almost ten years old. We tasted this wine last May and it’s showing even better now. The price is still incredible. I bought all I could!

Ugarte Crianza Rioja, Spain 2012
The climate in the area is Mediterranean but with a great Atlantic influence. The Sierra de Cantabria acts as a natural protection barrier against cold winds from the north.
Ugarte Crianza remains in American and French oak barrels for 15 months, carrying out racking every 4-6 months. The aging process concludes with the 6 months in bottle.
Kevin’s Notes: Dark purple and blue fruit nose with plum, subtle spice and oak. This Rioja is a stunner as it’s a perfect balance of Old World Spain and New World. The mouth feel and depth really set this wine apart from others at this price. At Cooper, we spend a lot of time trying to find our customers amazing value because we know how hard the citizens of Glenwood Springs work for a living. Spain continues to prove itself with strong value-oriented wines and I believe this could become your “go to” Spanish wine.
