Wine Tasting June 10 -11 2022 – One of the BEST EVER!!!
Dr. Loosen Dry Riesling Mosel, Germany
The Dr. Loosen Estate has been in the same family for over 200 years. With ungrafted vines averaging 50 years old, some of the best vineyard sites in Germany (four rated grand cru and two premier cru by both the 1868 German classification and the more current Wine Atlas of Germany), Ernst Loosen has the raw materials for stunningly intense, world-class wines.
Tasting Notes: It is a bright, refreshing, fruit-driven wine, with a juicy mid-palate and a crisp, drying finish. This wine offers alluring aromas and flavors of delicate flowers, ripe apple, green apple, and a hint of mineral notes.
Kevin’s Notes – Riesling is one of my favorite white grape varieties because of its stunning acidity and its ability to be some of the driest or sweetest wines in the world. Its amazing versatility allows it to be paired with most foods. Dr Loosen is one of my favorite producers as his wines are ORGANIC.

Domaine Anne Bavard-Brooks, Bourgogne Côte d’Or La Combe Blanc 2018
We are a small Domaine in the heart of the wine village of Puligny-Montrachet, a village known world-wide for its white wines of character and terroir, in the prestigious Côte d’Or of Burgundy.
All three parcels in Puligny have been farmed organically with bio-dynamic treatments since 2005, and were officially certified as organic in September of 2012.
Kevin’s Notes – The fruit comes from Puligny, but the vineyards are non-sloped so it cannot be called Puligny-Montrachet. It’s basically a “De-Classified” Puligny Montrachet. Their “Village Classified”, Corvee des Vignes’ Vieilles Vignes, Puligny-Montrachet is $119.99 !!!
Tasting Notes – the aromatics white floral perfume and leap from glass followed with rich flavors of pear, stone, mineral, and spice. Extremely lengthy finish leaves you placing your head on the table while whispering, “OMG, thank you for this day!” I gave this wine a 9++ out of 10. Cooper’s Price $39.99 3 btls M&M $35.99
The Wonderland Project, Red Wine Co-Fermented Wonderland Ranch Sonoma County – The Wonderland Project was founded in 2010 by wine broker and former sommelier, Matt Ahern with the help of pedigreed Sonoma grape growers. The Wonderland Project produces Sonoma County Appellation Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from organically farmed vineyards in Carneros. We rely on native yeast fermentations and minimal interventionist methods. We celebrate California . . . the way it once was.
Kevin’s Notes – Clearly one the most fun, cool, and exciting wines I have tasted this year! This wine is 50% Pinot Noir and 50% Chardonnay, and the grapes are co-fermented, together! Yes, you are reading this correctly. A must have wine!

Ottin Elio, Valle d’Aosta Torrette Supérieur, Italy 2019
Aosta Valley (Valle d’Aosta) is Italy’s smallest and least populous region, just one-eighth the size of neighboring Piedmont. It covers a mountainous corner of Italy’s far northwest, where the nation’s borders meet those of France and Switzerland. Torrette is a sub-zone of the Valle d’Aosta in the Alps.
Kevin’s Notes– This wine is a blend of His blend is comprised of 80% Petite Rouge, 10% Cornalin, and 10% Fumin. I absolutely adore this wine.Great summer wine. Gave it 9+ Points
Winery Notes- Over the years this wine has generated its own history, becoming an emblem of our viticulture. Heroic and surly, this wine is like a budding talent that will enchant us as we discover it sip by sip. A triumph of raspberries and blackberries followed by wild strawberries, pine trees and eucalyptus. Each sip releases dynamism and vigour with a final hint of white pepper and gingery spiciness. Long and captivating. Cooper’s Price $29.99 3 btls M&M $26.99
