Cooper Wine and Spirits’ 1792 Bottled in Bond Single Barrel
Hello Cooper Comrades!
We are very excited to announce the arrival of the store’s first single barrel selection.
Our single barrel selection is …. 1792 Bottled in Bond Single Barrel.
Rather than wasting time of having barrel samples sent back forth for my palate to judge, I
gave 1792 very specific instructions for their rickhouse manager to select our Bottled in Bond barrel – “Pick out the best”.
This was four months ago and now it’s here at a special price of $39.98*
Commonly asked question and quick summary; What does Bottled in Bond mean?
‘Bottled in Bond: Bottled-in-bond Act of 1897’
The bottled-in-bond designation mandates that brands clear numerous rigorous hurdles. The spirit must be aged for at least four years (the barrels must all be of the same age) and bottled at precisely 100 proof (50% abv). It must be made by one distiller at a single distillery in one season, then aged in a bonded warehouse.
