Domaine de Pouy Blanc

Domaine de Pouy is located in the foothills of Pyrénées, near the appellations of Madiran and Jurançon, about two hours southwest of Bordeaux. The wine has a penetrating floral green apple fragrance, and is loaded with refreshingly crisp and flavorful fruit.

Kevin’s Notes:  The Bas-Armagnac region is home to some of the world’s finest brandies.  This wine comes from Gascogne in Southwest France.  It’s absolutely delicious and if you’re tired of Pinot Grigio this is a great alternative.  The wine is crisp, deliciously fruity, uncomplicated.  This lively white is light to medium-bodied, boasting gobs of fragrant fruit, made from grapes vinified at low temperatures and bottled early to preserve the wine’s freshness.

Hindsight Napa Valley ESTATE Cabernet 2013

Limited Quantities~ ONLY 29 BOTTLES

2013 was a classic vintage for Napa Valley Cabernet. Flowering, and fruit set were perfect, with a long warm summer and cool evenings allowing for extended hang time and full flavor development. Harvested in late October, the grapes were cold soaked for 6 days prior to fermentation to maximize extraction of color, weight, aromatic and flavor components. The wine was aged in a combination of new and neutral French oak for 24 months. Aromas of black cherry, raspberry, coffee, mocha and oak follow through to the palate. This is a huge, full-bodied cabernet with firm tannins and a long lingering finish. Although drinkable now, it will clearly benefit from a few years of cellar aging. Decanting suggested.  Only 322 cases produced!

Kevin’s Notes – Insider Information:  As many of you know, I worked in the wine and spirit wholesale business for 23 years before Sharon and I opened this store, so I am going to give you some “inside information”.  Every fall, wholesalers will review their inventory to find inventories that are too high vs. their monthly sale rate.  Why? 1) They need cash to buy Holiday inventory 2) They need the space in their warehouses.  So what do they do?  They offer incredible deals to retailers that know what they are doing and THIS is one of them.  We bought all they had

We will only open one bottle each night.
