Bohigas Cava Brut Reserva
The Bohigas family can trace its roots at the same site in Catalonia to the 13th century. The latest chapter of the story really began in the 1930s when the great-uncle of the current owner began making cava at the estate. This state of the art, gravity fed winery sits at Òdena, in the Anoia river valley. about 50 km northwest of Barcelona. The current owner, Jordi Casanovas Bohigas tends to 110 acres of vines planted with 10 varieties.
Made from Xarel-lo, Macabeo, and Parellada vines grown in the estate vineyards, which are managed organically. Primary fermentation takes place in tank, followed by a secondary fermentation in bottle. Aged for 24 months before disgorgement and dosage, which is around 8g/L.
Taste: Wonderfully dry, bright brilliant flavors and mouthfeel. Awesome Value!

Bodegas San Valero Castillo Ducay (Carinena, Spain)
Bodegas San Valero is a cooperative in the DO of Cariñena. It was founded in 1944 by 60 growers, and it now consists of 700 members. They are committed to tradition and innovation, striking the perfect balance of traditional practices and state of the art technology.
Founded in 1932, the DO (Domaine of Origin) of Cariñena is one of the oldest designated growing regions in Spain. It is located the region of Aragon, towards the northeastern part of the country. Although the DO was established in the 1930’s, winemaking in this region dates back to the 3rd century. Cariñena experiences a continental climate with vast temperature fluctuations throughout the year and from day to night. This wine is 70% Garnacha, 20% Tempranillo, and 10% Cabernet.
Taste: This tinto starts off with flavors of ripe cherry and raspberry fruit with hints of violet, fennel and spice in the background. The wine is juicy and lively in the mouth with a persistent finish. There is more complexity than one may expect from a wine at this price. This is just a great value from Spain.

Domaine Andron 2010 Bordeaux (Haut-Medoc, France)
Domaine Andron is situated in the little village of Saint Seurin de Cadourne.The Domaine Andron has a first-rated vineyard with a reputation of the best wines of the Médoc. The domain is located on the famous rumps of Günziennes gravel close to the Gironde. The soils are on deep sandy loam gravels.The vineyard: 60% Merlot, 35% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Cabernet Franc, of an average age of 42 years. An extremely sophisticated culture, moderate yields, manual harvest at full maturity followed by careful breeding and vinification have resulted in an exceptional concentrated wine, with finesse and complexity. To comply with all its flavor, the wine was bottled without filtration.
Tasting Notes: On the nose,Nice mix of black and red fruits, blackcurrant, blackberries, wild strawberries, licorice, hint of cedar wood. On the palate, a basket of red and black fruits, silky tannins, balanced and long finish.
