Memorial Day Tasting – May 27th and 28th
Join us this Friday and Saturday from 5-7pm for our weekly tasting.
Le Grand Bouqueteau Chinon Loire, France Rose 2015
Le Grand Bouqueteau Chinon Rose is found within the Loire region of France. The vineyard of Grand Bouqueteau really exists since 2003. Since the first vintage, the vineyard has been awarded with two Liger d’ Or in Angers and a Gold medal in Paris for the 2003 vintage.
These awards are the result of several years of reflexion in order to produce high-class wines in AOC Chinon. The grape used here is Cabernet Franc. Rose of Chinon is a must try as they are uniquely different than the roses of southern France. They carry a little more weight and upfront fruit giving you flavors of red fruit that are fruit forward. They are cherished wines that can stand up with any entrees vs lighter appetizers.

Domaine Lalande, Sauvignon Blanc 2013
The vineyard, which stretches out along the Canal du Midi, was created at the same time as this historical canal in the 18th century that housed one of the most famous architects of the time who designed the plans for the Canal du Midi.
The property at that time consisted of 2000 Hectares, but it was divided after the French revolution. Pierre Degroote and Bernard Montariol decided to buy this 125 hectares vineryard. Since then, other neighbouring vineyards were bought to make it a total today of 215 Hectares.
Tasting Notes:
This is incredibly bright and brilliant spilling floral aromatics and flavors followed with a backbone of minerality that you only find in wines twice this price. This is one of our best discoveries of the year. Great on the patio and most light appetizers. You’re going to love this wine!

Paris Valley Road Cabernet 2013
Grapes are selected from estate vineyards in California and our Chalk Knoll Vineyards ranch in San Ardo within the San Lucas AVA in southern Monterey county just north of Paso Robles, California. The cool coastal climate ensures high quality fruit that ripens slowly, developing delicate but rich flavors yielding intensely aromatic wines. We blend rich Cabernet Sauvignon with soft Merlot for a balanced mouth feel while adding Cabernet Franc for aroma and Malbec for color.
The wines were aged in American, French and Hungarian oak barrels as well as stainless tanks with micro oxygenation to create a soft and approachable food friendly wine.

Chateau Lanessan Haut Medoc 2003
This fine wine situated in Cussac-Fort Medoc, in the south of Saint-Julien Beychevelle, is one of the famous Cru Bourgeois in the Medoc, which has been owned and operate by the Bouteiller family since 1793!
Always one of the better values and age-worthy wines from the Haut-Medoc, this underrated Medoc consistently produces wines of fifth-growth quality. Shrewd Bordeaux buyers have long followed this excellent Medoc estate, whose wine can easily be confused with a St.-Julien or Pauillac.
The 2003 possesses lots of cedarwood, creme de cassis and forest floor notes, outstanding ripeness, low acidity, and a round, generous mouthfeel with no desiccation or flaws.
This 13 year old beauty is ready to drink as it has been cellar aged at the winery until this latest offering. This stunner is a blend of Cabernet, Cabernet Franc with a little Merlot and Petit Verdot. If you have never had an older Bordeaux this is your chance.
