Louis Nicaise Premier Cru Brut Reserve “Grower Champagne”

This magnificent vineyard is now managed with dynamism and determination by a woman, the young and brilliant Laure Nicaise. For many years, between 2002 and 2013, she learned, observed and developed champagnes of genius combining grace with elegance. Since 2013, she has taken over the reins of the family business and is leading the estate with her husband Clément. She practices a sustainable viticulture, without herbicide or pesticide, with an organic base in order to limit to the maximum the human intervention.

The Champagne Louis Nicaise Premier Cru Reserve Brut is a vintage of 40% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Meunier and 30% Pinot Noir from different plots, all classified Premier Cru and marked by a limestone terroir. After manual harvesting, the wine was blended according to the Champagne method and aged for many months on the lees.

Taste: The Sauvignon Blanc has bright, intense aromas of tropical fruit, with a delicate hint of vegetables, making this wine immediately attractive and interesting. On the palate, citrus flavors are enhanced by good acidity.

Elsa Bianchi Mendoza, Argentina Cabernet

All Elsa wines are single-vineyard, from the family’s original vineyards holdings, where Dona Elsa (the late grandmother of the current Bianchi owners) lived in her first “casa,” which still sits among the vines.

Taste:  This is a classic Cabernet, with a deep red color and some ruby shadings; aromas of black pepper, cedar, herb and hints of paprika. This wine is medium- to full-bodied, with a sweet and balanced sensation on the palate. Its flavors match its aromas, providing a pleasant, smooth and complex mouth-feel that is full of fruit.
